Fathers Day Gift Guide

With Fathers Day just around the corner (18th June), I thought it was perfect timing to put together a Fathers Day Gift Guide.

I hope you enjoy this gift guide as much as I have enjoyed putting it together – I need to now narrow my selection and buy something.

For the Father who loves gardening:

Botanic Tribe are an indie brand who sell a curious collection of houseplants and greenery gifts. I also love their quirky botanical-theme prints.

Hearth and Heritage is owned by Sue Rowe-Price, inspired by British Heritage and their beautiful location in The Vale of Belvoir she has developed a wide array of evocative fragrances that indulge the senses and invoke nostalgia.

They have a great range of mens products including this beer themed gift hamper, which includes a handpoured Beer scented candle, a beer scented soap in travel tin and a handmade Whiskey & Chocolate lip balm.

October 5 – Review and Honeyfair

Today is Wednesday October the 5th and Callingtons Annual Honeyfair.

I had a lovely time with the hubby and Amelia-Jayne wandering around looking at the stalls and brought some great stocking fillers for both girls (Amelia-Jayne is only 15 months so no idea about Christmas and stocking fillers!)! Then after school nipped round again with Chloe on route to drop orders at the post office and got the mandatory bag of candyfloss in pink and blue. 🙂

Customer Review

I love receiving feedback for my porcelain bowls, this lovely feedback is for a set of 3 pearl nesting bowls from my etsy shop.

Below are my other porcelain bowls available.

I hope you have enjoyed todays blog post! Tomorrow I will be glazing and working on my website and loading new products to my amazon site!

October 4 – Making Porcelain Bowls

Where does time go? Today has flown by!

I thought I would show you a picture of my workshop / garage, ignore the mess, it needs a good tidy up! 🙂

The kiln on the right is the one I have filled and am currently bisque firing in. The bowls on top of the other kiln are the bowls I am firing over night.

You can see in the far corner some of my plaster molds filled with porcelain slip – after 10 minutes they will be emptied, then when they release from the mold I will finish the bowls.

In the pictures above you can see my multicolored scribble bowls being made before glazing, the picture below shows the glazed finished multicolored scribble bowls!
